Zvondai Muchenje: President

Zvondai Muchenje is the founder and president of the Fountains of Light Foundation. His work in the non-for-profit sector began in the early 1980s and has included working with a number of organisations in Zambia, Israel and Canada. He has worked as a community worker with Inter-Cultural Association of Greater Victoria in Victoria, British Columbia, the Maxwell International School in the village of Shawngan Lake, British Columbia, and Baha’i World Centre in Haifa, Israel. He holds a diploma in business administration. He is currently completing a Bachelors Program in Public Affair and Policy Management, specialisation in Development at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada.

Valerie Muchenje: Vice - President

Valerie Muchenje holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She currently works as a community health nurse in remote Canadian communities and is working with Health Canada to support home care programs in First Nations communities. Valerie was Field Manager with the International Rescue Committee delivering primary health care program in Southern Sudan. She has assisted many African communities in the building and management of primary health care units. As program manager for the Masetlha Health Education Programme in Zambia, Valerie spent three years helping to develop a training curriculum for family health educators and community health educators, which is currently being used in several countries.
