Management & Organizational

Key Volunteer Responsibilities:

• Bring into operation to a point of sustainability a residential working farm in the Machaya Village, north of Lusaka
• Assist in putting in place seed capital to begin the project and sustain it through the initial start-up period
• Assist with organising start-up logistics and rehabilitation of the infrastructure at the farm
• Assist with public relations and fundraising components of the organisation to build support for the project from donors and the business community
• Support the organisation through capacity building for staff and orphans and other vulnerable children (OVCs) in basic business management skills
• Support the organisation to set up a marketing and distribution system for products and produce from the farm and other Fountains of Light Foundation enterprises

Skills would include:

• Experience in such areas as setting up and successfully running business ventures and / or project management
• Background in financial business management
• Background in business planning
• IT background
• Skills/knowledge in marketing, market research, analysis of profit margins
