Freegro Now Offers Free Counsel on How to Access Carbon Finance
Freegro now offers free counsel on how to access carbon finance for prospective afforestation reforestaton, forest ecosystem restoration, reduced impact logging and/or avoided deforestation initiatives. John Kendall, a registered professional forester and inventor of the novel Freegro tree protection and growth enhancement product line, has the pertinent expertise and experience. He would be happy to provide advice on how to plan and structure the above activities so they could potentially become 'climate forest' offset projects capable of generating carbon credits in either the voluntary carbon market or the new emerging regulated carbon markets, such as the upcoming US Federal 'Cap and Trade' regime. Small woodlot size projects can potentially be aggregated and larger projects can be set up as 'stand-alone' forest carbon offsets, using well designed methodologies that executed using best silvicultural practices while being third party pre-validated and verfied for certification to robust standards that provide rigour, transparency and credibility to these new carbon markets.
One of the best projects of this kind in North America, Ecosystem Restoration Associate's Community Ecosystem Restoration Initiative which has effectively restored over 200 hectares of degraded riparian zones in forest parkland near Vancouver B.C. has been co-designed by John Kendall and Freegro tree shelters have greatly added to the success of this innovative carbon offset project.
Interested parties who require carbon forestry counsel and / or technical Freegro advice can contact John at (778) 378-9119 or by email at john.kendall@econeutral.com. Freegro is actively planning two high profile climate forestry demonstration projects (one in Canada and the other in the USA). Details of these projects will soon appear on this website.
